Thanks to you from all over the world for you participation in our 10th anniversary celebration.
We really appreciate that you visited Japan and supported us a lot. We hope that all of you enjoyed your time with us and had a good time with Ohshima Sensei.
Mr.Ono has estaboished the organization of SODJ in 2009 and he decided to make this event for a coupld of objectives.
One objective is to make links stronger among SODJ members.
Second objective is to cultivate relations with all members of Ohshima Dojo in the world to practice together and Mr.Ono would like all of you enjyo short staying in Japan.
The third objective is to pray Ohshima sensei’s health. Fortunately we heard that Ohshima sensei will arrive at Narita on the 18th so we are working hard to prepare to welcome all of your members, and Ohshima sensei.
We are looking forward to seeing you in two weeks and we are preparing the practice and party on the 26th. Ohshima sensei is coming on the 18th so every SODJ member are trying to make the best effort to entertain the guests from all Shotokan Ohshima Dojo members from abroad.
October 26th, Saturday
Location: Shiseikan Dojo of Meiji Jingu Shrine
10:10am meeting at the West exit of JR Yoyogi station (*note1)
10:30am The last group start to move to Shiseikan Dojo

(1) Kata demonstration by each country
Individual Kata and or group kata. We do this demonstration at Shiseikan Dojo inside of Meji Shrine. This very honorable opportunity was provided by Mr.Eli Cohen’s assisting.
Mr.Ono would like to dedicate all of your Kata demonstration to Meiji Shrine in order to pray for Ohshima sensei’s health.
(2) Individual tournament
We are planning to have the individual tournament by 16 males.
We would like to ask a leader of each country to suggest some members who would like to participate to the tournament.
If you could tell us the names of the candidates of the tournament, by return mail until October 20, we appreciate it.
Also we would like to ask you if anyone can help us as a judge and or refree, please let us know.
(3) Visit the main worship hall of Meiji Jingu Shrine
(Dress code: Business Casual with/without Tie)
After changing clothes, the applicants will visit the main worship hall of Meiji Jingu Shrine.
If you wish to visit, please wear in at least a specific dress code (Business casual with tie).
*note1: Meeting point at JR Yoyogi station

9:00am Get on Odakyu Romance Car (Express train) (**see note2)
9:59am Arrive at Odawara Station
10:10am Depart from Odawara station by a charter bus
11:00am Arrival at Hakone Shrine
11:00am Visit the main worship hall
11:20am Change cloth
11:30pm Practice (to 1:00pm)
1:00- 1:10pm Change cloth
1:20pm Depart from Hakone Shrine
1:25pm Arrival at Lunch place (Hakone-en “Nanakamado”)
1:30pm Lunch starts (with Mr. Ohshima)
3:00pm Lunch ends
3:20- 4:00pm Go around the Komagatake hill
5:00pm Hakone Prince Hotel check-in
5:30pm Dinner starts (Lakeside Grill)
7:30pm Dinner ends
Tickets from Shinjuku to Odawara will be distributed to each group leader at the reception on the 26th.
The limited express departs at 9:00. If you missed it, please contact the leader of each group. Information on how to get to Odawara will be distributed at the ceremony reception on the 26th.
The temperature of Hakone on 26th/Oct. will be around 20 °C (68 °F).
*note2: Transfer from JR to Odakyu at Shinjuku Station
Odakyu Romance car (Express train) is leaving from the platform No.2.
There are major three ways to transfer from JR to Odakyu at Shinjuku station (omit others)
- JR West gate to Odakyu west ground level gate
- JR Central west gate to Odakyu transfer gate
- JR South gate to Odakyu south gate

The tour will conclude after breakfast. Participants to arrange own return transportation to Tokyo.

The fees above do not include hotel expenses in the Tokyo area for the first night and after the tour. Please make your own arrangements. If you need any assistance, please let us know.
Applications must be received by July 31, 2019. We need to know the total number of attendees by country group and the total number of rooms needed by plan type. We would appreciate if you could send the information as soon as possible. Full payment must be received by August 31, 2019 for the total number of attendees by each country group/organization. Payment should be paid by international bank wire transfer to the SODJ bank account. Please contact us by email if you wish to make payment by bank wire transfer.
